A Mercenary is an alternate champion that replace your champion in the PVE campaign. They level up similar to existing champions, but in a faster, more streamlined way.
Mercenaries are available for hire should you know the right man, woman, shroomkin, or astral monkey to call. They allow you to shake up your PVE experience with new decks, strategies, and charge powers. You can enlist them to help you through tricky dungeons, or you can just decide that you’d rather be a gang-running mushroom instead. If you’re having problems with a dungeon designed around quick attackers and damage, you can call up Mooof. His shroomkin buddies will keep you high in health while you collect all the loots.

- Mercenaries are acquired in various ways (Treasure Chests, Conventions, Kickstarter, PvE Rewards, Trade via Auction House, etc…).
- You “Hire” a mercenary, making it non-tradeable and permanently attaching it to your account.
- Once per dungeon, in any non-boss encounter, you can sub in your mercenary to fight in place of your champion. We may have smaller dungeons not allow mercenaries or larger dungeons have more than one opportunity for mercenaries to sub in.
- You create a deck specifically for each mercenary. When you call upon him during the dungeon he brings that deck with him and it can be as different from your champion’s deck as you want it to be.
- Mercenary charge powers and passives are fully unlocked from the start and can be used to their maximum potential for that one encounter.
- Your champion receives all normal rewards you would earn as if you had defeated the encounter yourself.
